Determining family physicians’ educational needs in Brazil
In 2002, the Municipality of Belo Horizonte implemented a Family Health Team program consisting of several innovations designed to increase the quality, range, and accessibility of primary care health services. CEP was engaged to conduct a needs assessment and environmental scan in one of the country's largest cities, Belo Horizonte, as well as the neighbouring district of Contagem, to ensure that future educational strategies such as mentoring and academic detailing were designed to address identified gaps and needs.
